Bally has launched its first travel collection in collaboration with Academy Award-winning actor and renowned artist Adrien Brody. Making his debut as a designer, the style icon has created a standalone collection for the Swiss fashion house.
Brody, known for his performances in a multitude of films as well as being an accomplished painter, was raised to have a deep appreciation for the creative arts. As well as conceiving and designing the collection pieces, Brody also wrote and directed the video appearing on Bally channels, which distils the ethos and intent behind the travel collection.
In the video, Adrien Brody provides the voiceover, giving his unique perspective on traversing the world: “Life’s journey. We all strive to reach the destination, but it’s the road we travel that enables us to arrive with a sense of purpose. We should dress for the adventure.”
The collection was designed and developed to be both timeless and seasonless while being resilient and adaptable to satisfy travels to any country or city in the world. Adrien took inspiration from Bally’s archives, whereby he’s incorporated a variety of elements, styles, and silhouettes.
Outerwear is immaculate in the finest wools, leathers and shearlings, offering the essential silhouettes in pea coats, aviator and bomber styles.
Comfort comes in the form of cashmere and silk separates and co-ords, as well as sumptuous wool and jersey pieces. Accessories are again luxurious, yet practical, and focus on dynamic bags such as holdalls and backpacks, trimmed in leather of the finest quality.
There is sharp tailoring, of course, punctuated with crisp shirting. Dress shoes and boots also serve as a sartorial highlight, alongside rugged yet elegant biker boots and clean, crested tennis sneakers. This is a “kit”-inspired wardrobe for modern voyagers, who carry themselves with ease and experience, moving through the world with curiosity in pursuit of culture.
The collection is available online and in selected Bally boutiques worldwide including Zurich, Milan, New York and Tokyo Ginza, and multi-brand stores including SAKS and LuisaViaRoma.
