Since 2004, the Hermessence collection has expressed the very essence of Hermès through fragrance. Christine Nagel, Creative Director of Hermès Perfumes, introduces Musc Pallida, a composition that honors the precious iris pallida. The fragrance melds powdery iris with enveloping musks, producing an intimate and captivating aura. “In an olfactory transposition of the saddle stitch, the two materials—like two pieces of leather sewn together—gently embrace and reveal themselves to one another,” explains Nagel. The lantern bottle, adorned in golden hues reminiscent of iris, houses this “second skin” fragrance, complemented by an ivory-leather cap with yellow-orange stitching.
