As the 78th edition of the Cannes Film Festival continues to blend cinematic artistry with high fashion, acclaimed actor Fares Fares and filmmaker Tarik Saleh brought understated elegance to the red carpet at the premiere of Eagles of the Republic. The pair made a distinguished appearance dressed in refined looks by the Italian luxury menswear house, ZEGNA.
Fares Fares chose a pristine white silk and wool tuxedo jacket paired with black silk and wool trousers. Completing the look was a classic black silk bowtie and a pair of black leather Vienna evening shoes. The crisp white silk shirt elevated the ensemble with a fresh, polished tone—perfect for the glamour of Cannes’ famed Palais des Festivals. His sartorial choice embodied ZEGNA’s mastery of tailoring, as well as its commitment to timeless design and quiet sophistication.

Tarik Saleh complemented Fares in an equally distinguished ZEGNA look. The director stepped out in a sharp black wool and silk tuxedo, paired with a white silk shirt and black silk bowtie—an ensemble that exuded confidence and classic elegance. His footwear, black leather Torino oxford shoes, anchored the look with subtle refinement. Together, the duo represented the contemporary ZEGNA man: cosmopolitan, precise, and connected to heritage without being bound by it.
Founded in 1910 in the Italian Alps, ZEGNA remains a global leader in luxury menswear, celebrated for its commitment to sustainability, innovation, and impeccable craftsmanship. Still family-led, the brand draws continual inspiration from its birthplace, Oasi Zegna, a natural territory that remains central to its vision of responsible luxury. Under the direction of Artistic Director Alessandro Sartori since 2016, ZEGNA continues to evolve its tailoring language—balancing classic structure with modern practicality to meet the refined, relaxed demands of today’s luxury wardrobe.
