German haute horlogerie manufacture A. Lange & Söhne unveils the LANGE 1 DAYMATIC HONEYGOLD, a 250-piece limited edition that elevates its most recognisable design with a proprietary alloy. Presented in 750 HONEYGOLD®, the self-winding timepiece introduces a rare warmth to the iconic LANGE 1 aesthetic. The honey-toned case is paired with a brown dial crafted from 925 silver, creating a restrained yet highly distinctive colour composition.
The LANGE 1 DAYMATIC mirrors the asymmetrical dial architecture of the manually wound LANGE 1, but with a deliberate inversion. Hours and minutes are positioned on the right, while the subsidiary seconds and outsize date sit on the left. Instead of a power-reserve indicator, the DAYMATIC incorporates a retrograde day-of-week display along the dial’s left periphery. This mirrored layout preserves familiarity while asserting its individuality within the Lange family.
Measuring 39.5 millimetres in diameter and 10.4 millimetres in height, the case maintains harmonious proportions suited to both formal and everyday wear. A hand-engraved balance cock, Glashütte ribbing, thermally blued screws and screwed gold chatons exemplify the Saxon commitment to artisanal excellence. The three-quarter plate architecture, divided into four separately screwed plates, references historical watchmaking while preserving structural integrity.
The brown 925-silver dial features recessed subdials that intensify three-dimensionality, while white numerals in the outsize date window contrast crisply against the background. A taupe hand-stitched alligator strap secures the watch to the wrist, fastened by a prong buckle in matching HONEYGOLD®.
