Based on a discussion around innovation, materials, colours and style, the Maison has approached this edition of W&W with a revitalised and optimist vision of the way it conceives watchmaking. David Chaumet, CEO of Baume & Mercier, explains: “Driven by the authenticity that surrounds the Maison, our centurial heritage and savoir-faire, our spirit of innovation and close relationship with our customers and partners, we are focusing our resources to evolve the Maison to reflect contemporary society and our customers’ new expectations. We are reinvigorating and rejuvenating all aspects of the Maison to create a new tomorrow, a genuine tomorrow.”
Clifton Baumatic Collection
Three new timepieces join the collection this year. The Clifton Baumatic day-date, moon-phase (42mm) in a solid block of rose gold or steel. The Clifton Baumatic moon-phase date (42mm) is a complication that brings out the beauty of the moon cycle in a satin-polished stainless-steel case. The COSC-certified Clifton Baumatic date (39 or 40 mm), is a timeless classic available in three versions: steel, two-tone (steel and steel topped with gold), and 18K rose gold.
Hampton Collection
Hampton is the iconic Baume & Mercier collection that pays tribute to the glamour of Art Deco, the architectural movement of the 1920s. The new pieces feature polished steel cases available in three sizes: 35×22.2 mm (small), 43×27.5 mm (medium), and 48×31 mm (large). The men’s timepieces feature silver-tone and grained dials with various opaline textures beneath a domed sapphire crystal.
