In honour of the 95th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Breitling Middle East has unveiled a striking tribute to the nation’s rich cultural heritage and adventurous spirit—the Chronomat Automatic GMT 40, a limited edition timepiece crafted exclusively for the Kingdom. With only 95 pieces available, this exceptional watch captures both elegance and functionality, its vibrant green dial and white Indian numerals echoing the colours of the Saudi flag while embodying the pride and tradition of the region.

Designed as a sophisticated travel companion, the Chronomat GMT is more than a watch—it is a celebration of exploration. Powered by Breitling’s Caliber 32, the timepiece features a 24-hour GMT complication, allowing seamless tracking of dual time zones and ensuring effortless navigation between day and night. Encased in all-steel and COSC-certified for precision, it boasts a water resistance of 200 meters and a 42-hour power reserve, making it a versatile companion from sky to sea.

Aesthetically, the watch speaks volumes through understated yet bold details. The iconic “onion” crown, with its fluted dome shape, allows smooth adjustments, while the steel construction ensures durability without compromising elegance. Its refined proportions, practical size, and sporty-chic appeal reinforce its identity as an all-purpose companion for both seasoned travellers and style connoisseurs.

“We’re delighted to release a new limited edition Chronomat GMT to celebrate the 95th national day of Saudi Arabia,” says Aed Adwan, Managing Director of Breitling Middle East, India, and Africa. “The KSA-exclusive timepiece comes in a timeless green colour with white Indian numerals, reflecting the colours of the Kingdom’s national flag, as well as its rich culture and heritage.” This sentiment anchors the watch’s design in both national pride and global sophistication, offering collectors a piece of history to wear on their wrist.

The Chronomat’s legacy is deeply rooted in watchmaking history. Born amidst the quartz crisis of the 1970s, it rose to prominence as a mechanical marvel designed for pilots. Its collaboration with Italy’s Frecce Tricolori aerobatic team set the stage for its defining features—raised rider tabs and the comfortable steel rouleaux bracelet—combining rugged resilience with timeless style. Today, the Chronomat stands as a symbol of mechanical excellence and enduring elegance.
