Limited to just 20 pieces, the Heritage Retrograde Seconds 75th Anniversary Edition pays tribute to Ahmed Seddiqi’s 75-year horological legacy.

A Legacy Rooted In Craft and Conviction

To mark 75 years of horological excellence, Ahmed Seddiqi has partnered with Swiss independent watchmaker H. Moser & Cie. to unveil a refined limited-edition timepiece that honours both legacy and craftsmanship. The result is the Heritage Retrograde Seconds 75th Anniversary Edition, a discreet yet technically compelling watch created as a tribute to Ahmed Seddiqi’s enduring role in shaping luxury watch culture in the Middle East.

Limited to just 20 pieces worldwide, the anniversary edition underscores the rarity and significance of this long-standing relationship—one that has helped define the region’s appreciation for independent, high-end watchmaking.

A Heritage Design of Enduring Excellence

Drawing from H. Moser & Cie.’s distinguished Heritage line, the watch blends traditional watchmaking codes with modern execution. At its heart lies a retrograde seconds complication, a sophisticated mechanical feature that performs a precise jump every 30 seconds—an elegant expression of the Maison’s technical mastery.

This measured motion adds subtle dynamism to the dial while remaining true to H. Moser & Cie.’s understated design language.

The Sand Fumé Dial: Depth Through Restraint

The dial is finished in a Sand fumé tone with a finely sandblasted texture, producing gentle shifts in colour and depth as light moves across its surface. True to the brand’s minimalist ethos, branding is restrained, allowing material and craftsmanship to take centre stage.

Super-LumiNova®-filled hour and minute hands ensure clarity and legibility, balancing function with quiet sophistication. The watch is housed in a 42mm stainless steel case, complete with a crown engraved with the Moser emblem and paired with a hand-stitched grey kudu leather strap.

The Mechanics Beneath the Surface

Visible through a transparent caseback, the automatic HMC 250 calibre showcases partially skeletonised bridges, an anthracite finish adorned with Moser double stripes, and an engraved oscillating weight. The movement features a bi-directional automatic winding system and delivers a minimum three-day power reserve.

Developed in collaboration with Agenhor SA, the retrograde module exemplifies H. Moser & Cie.’s commitment to engineering precision and mechanical innovation, while maintaining a refined visual identity.

A Partnership Shaped by Shared Values

Mohammed Abdulmagied Seddiqi, CEO of Ahmed Seddiqi, described the collaboration as a reflection of shared values. “This 75th Anniversary Edition reflects a partnership built on trust, creativity, and a belief in preserving the art of fine watchmaking for generations to come,” he said.

Bertrand Meylan, Co-owner of H. Moser & Cie. and CEO of MELB Luxe Subsidiaries, echoed this sentiment, noting the importance of the Seddiqi family in shaping regional watch culture. “This limited edition is more than a watch; it is a tribute to friendship, legacy, and the art of time,” he shared.

An Heirloom for the Discerning Collector

More than a commemorative object, the Heritage Retrograde Seconds 75th Anniversary Edition stands as a symbol of purposeful watchmaking—defined by independence, authenticity, and refined craftsmanship. For collectors and connoisseurs alike, it represents a rare intersection of history and horological artistry, distilled into just twenty exceptional timepieces.
