Kross Studio presents a new object of desire: a connected watch winder that combines clean design, simple functionality and efficient top-of-the-range technology, including a latest-generation motor, a Bluetooth connection and a dedicated smartphone application.

Kross Studio is a Swiss design studio and manufacturer founded in 2020. It produces immersive, expertly engineered, highly collectable art objects conceived to “erase the boundaries between fine art, pop culture, and high-end product design.” Just two years since its inception, Kross Studio has already established ongoing collaborations with leading entertainment companies, including Lucasfilm and Warner Bros.

Kross’s new watch winder is the second offering from the brand, following the huge success met by its debut product, revealed back in October 2021 – the Tie Advanced x1 watch winder inspired by Darth Vader’s ship.

Kross Studio Connected Watch Winder

The new aluminium watch winder is equipped with two elements: the winding motor and its support, from which it can be easily disassembled in order to be stored while winding a watch. The support, in brushed aluminium, was designed by Kross Studio to suit most interiors.

The winding engine, one of the most powerful existing today, harnesses the force of its powerful movement to maintain the mechanism of any automatic mechanical watch placed within the winding capsule. It comes equipped with an infrared sensor that detects the presence of a watch, and thereby activates the winder. When no watch is present, the device remains in standby mode to conserve power.

Kross Studio Connected Watch Winder

The Bluetooth interface offers the owner access to all its parameters available via a smartphone, using the dedicated Kross Watch Winder application, available on App Store and Google Play. In this way, the user can define optimal settings for their automatic watch model, fine-tuning the direction of rotation, rotation time, and load control.

The Kross Studio watch winder was developed in-house by the Studio engineers. Assembled by hand, it is made up of 26 pieces for a total of 2kg, and measures 13cm long, 15cm wide, and 21.5cm high. Particular attention has been paid to the smallest details, as in all Kross Studio products.

The Kross Studio watch winder is an object aimed at design enthusiasts, watch collectors and owners of mechanical watches who wish to maintain them with care. It will be available from October on kross-studio.com and from authorized retailers.
