In August 2025, Oris reaffirms its reputation as a maison where precision meets purpose with the release of the New York Harbor Limited Edition II. This 2,000-piece Aquis Date is more than a testament to Swiss horology — it is a luminous ode to the harbor’s shifting light and the energy of a city defined by its waters. Beneath its refined exterior lies a story of conservation, as proceeds directly support the Billion Oyster Project’s mission to restore marine life and revitalize the waterfront.

Crafted in a 43.5 mm stainless steel case with a unidirectional rotating bezel, the timepiece embodies both strength and elegance. Its dial — a shimmery aqua green mother-of-pearl — evokes the play of light on oyster shells, constantly changing with the angle of view. Enhanced by a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, the dial radiates depth, while Super-LumiNova® hands and indices ensure clarity even in the most shadowed depths.

The New York Harbor Limited Edition II offers versatility for both urban explorers and marine adventurers. Delivered with a stainless-steel bracelet as well as an aqua green rubber strap, it seamlessly transitions from boardroom refinement to oceanside vigor. With water resistance of 300 meters, it honors Oris’s technical mastery while remaining faithful to its aquatic inspiration. Retailing at CHF 2,550, it is a collector’s piece that speaks to both style and conscience.

Since 2014, the Billion Oyster Project has restored over 150 million oysters to the harbor, creating natural habitats, filtering waters, and reweaving a vital ecosystem. With each purchase of this timepiece, wearers directly contribute to reef building, shell recycling, and hands-on educational initiatives that inspire thousands of students and volunteers. In wearing it, one becomes part of a collective tide of change.

Rolf Studer, Oris Co-CEO, underscores the spirit of the collaboration: “The ecological challenge can feel overwhelming, but when we work together, it gets easier. We’re proud to collaborate again with Billion Oyster Project and witness first-hand the change we’re bringing together.” It is a sentiment that captures Oris’s enduring ethos — watchmaking with integrity, dedicated to shaping a brighter future.

As a maison rooted in mechanical excellence since 1904, Oris has long believed that craftsmanship can be purposeful. The New York Harbor Limited Edition II carries this philosophy forward, embodying beauty, resilience, and environmental responsibility in equal measure. For collectors and connoisseurs, it is not only a timepiece but a talisman of both artistry and advocacy.
