TAG Heuer makes a bold entrance at Geneva Watch Days 2025, showcasing a collection that spans groundbreaking innovations and cosmic inspirations. With a lineup that explores radical new approaches to watchmaking, the brand reinforces its reputation for pushing boundaries in design, technical performance, and storytelling. At the forefront are two major releases: the TAG Heuer TH-Carbonspring oscillator and the TAG Heuer Carrera Astronomer, each redefining the future of timekeeping.

The TH-Carbonspring oscillator, presented in the TAG Heuer Monaco and Carrera limited editions, marks a turning point in mechanical watchmaking. For over 160 years, TAG Heuer has been synonymous with avant-garde precision, and this year, the brand takes a revolutionary leap forward. Developed entirely in-house at the TAG Heuer LAB, the TH-Carbonspring replaces traditional steel or silicon with a carbon-based material, offering unprecedented resistance to environmental conditions and long-term wear. The oscillator’s launch coincides with the 350th anniversary of the hairspring’s invention, celebrating both heritage and bold experimentation.

The TAG Heuer Monaco Flyback Chronograph TH-Carbonspring and TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon Extreme Sport TH-Carbonspring exemplify the marriage between cutting-edge technology and TAG Heuer’s storied history. These watches not only carry forward the brand’s motorsport legacy but also embrace a futuristic approach to movement architecture. The aesthetic codes of each watch complement the technological breakthrough, offering enthusiasts a chance to experience a new era of mechanical craftsmanship.

With the Carrera Astronomer, TAG Heuer takes inspiration from the cosmos, merging the brand’s space exploration legacy with horological artistry. From John Glenn’s journey aboard NASA’s Friendship 7 to contemporary celestial design, the Astronomer introduces a refined moonphase complication powered by the new Calibre 7 movement. This movement, with its 50-hour power reserve, delivers scientific precision by accurately tracking the lunar cycle’s 29.5-day rhythm.

A rotating moonphase disc at 6 o’clock reveals seven distinct lunar stages, while the caseback showcases an astronomical observatory motif, celebrating humanity’s connection to the stars. The Carrera Astronomer invites wearers to rethink timekeeping as an experience rooted in nature’s celestial rhythms, blending science, art, and engineering into one harmonious design.

TAG Heuer’s first Carrera Astronomer model offers striking contrasts with a stainless-steel case, silver dial, and deep grey accents, paired with the brand’s iconic beads-of-rice bracelet. The second model, limited to 500 pieces, embraces turquoise details on the numerals, hands, and moonphase disc, presented with a grey leather strap for a contemporary and energetic flair. A third version, also limited to 500 pieces, combines stainless steel with 18K rose gold for a tone-on-tone elegance, paired with a brushed steel-and-gold bracelet that elevates the celestial theme.

Together, the TH-Carbonspring and Carrera Astronomer encapsulate TAG Heuer’s commitment to innovation and precision. Whether reengineering the mechanical oscillator or redesigning the moonphase complication, the brand continues to challenge what’s possible in watchmaking while staying true to its adventurous spirit. These creations reflect a deep curiosity about time’s nature—both grounded on earth and reaching for the stars.

With Geneva Watch Days 2025 as its stage, TAG Heuer invites collectors and enthusiasts to witness the dawn of a new chapter in horology—one where carbon revolutions meet lunar rhythms, and tradition harmonizes with bold exploration. The brand’s forward-looking vision ensures that timekeeping is not merely functional but a statement of artistic, scientific, and emotional resonance.
