Gerald Charles proudly honors its legendary founder, Mr. Gérald Charles Genta, by launching the Maestro 9.0 Roman Tourbillon, Ref. GC9.0-A-RT-5N. This exquisite timepiece pays homage to the pioneering spirit of Mr. Genta, who introduced the first Maestro case with a toAurbillon in 2005. The iconic smile at 6 o’clock and the perfectly shaped case continue to define this remarkable collection.

A New Twist on Timeless Elegance

Following the success of the Maestro 9.0 Tourbillon in 2023, the new Maestro 9.0 Roman Tourbillon revisits the classic design with an infusion of old-style elegance. Limited to just 50 pieces, this special edition celebrates Roman architecture and art, as emphasized by the striking Roman numerals on the dial. This collection not only underscores the brand’s core values but also showcases Gerald Charles’ expertise in pushing the boundaries of high-end watchmaking.

Artistry and Craftsmanship: The Hand-Hammered Gold Dial

At the heart of the Roman Tourbillon lies a meticulously crafted 18K rose-gold dial, achieved through the art of hand-hammering. This labor-intensive process, requiring exceptional skill and precision, results in a unique texture that enhances readability while ensuring each watch is distinct. Given the complexity of the technique, only two pieces are produced per month, making each Roman Tourbillon a truly unique masterpiece.

Innovative Design: The Blue Titanium Bezel

Complementing the exquisite dial is a blue titanium bezel on a stainless-steel case, achieved through an advanced galvanic treatment derived from aeronautic technologies. This specialized coating not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also provides remarkable durability and resistance to extreme stresses. The two-tone design and use of different materials mark a first for Gerald Charles, adding to the exclusivity of the Maestro 9.0 Roman Tourbillon.

Technical Excellence: The Flying Tourbillon

Technically, the Roman Tourbillon is a marvel. It features a 60-second flying tourbillon with a skeletonized cage shaped like the GC logo, a nod to Mr. Genta’s original Maestro design. The cage, carved from lightweight Grade 5 Titanium, ensures both aesthetic beauty and performance excellence. The 60-second flying tourbillon oscillates at 4Hz, and the screws repositioned to hold the 18K yellow-gold bridge to the movement highlight the intricate craftsmanship.

Sophisticated Engineering and Durability

Despite its intricate design, the Maestro 9.0 Roman Tourbillon offers 10 ATM/100 meters of water resistance, 5G shock resistance, and a 50-hour power reserve. The inclusion of a stop-seconds function ensures precise time setting. The timepiece’s blue indicator on the tourbillon cage serves as a small seconds indicator, further emphasizing its sophisticated engineering.

An Elegant Yet Sporty Timepiece

With its textured dial, hand-stitched blue alligator strap, and skeletonized tourbillon, the Maestro 9.0 Roman Tourbillon embodies both elegance and sportiness. It represents the epitome of Gerald Charles’ commitment to Artistic Creativity and Technical Mastery, making it a perfect addition to any connoisseur’s collection.

About Gerald Charles: A Legacy of Excellence

Founded in 2000 by Mr. Gérald Charles Genta, Maison Gerald Charles is an independent, family-owned watch company based in Geneva. Known for producing limited quantities for a niche market of collectors, the brand continues to uphold Mr. Genta’s legacy of innovation and excellence. Today, under the leadership of the Ziviani family, Gerald Charles produces 1500 timepieces annually, each adhering to the highest standards of Swiss watchmaking and reflecting the brand’s commitment to superior precision, performance, and design.

Conclusion: A Timeless Tribute

The Maestro 9.0 Roman Tourbillon stands as a timeless tribute to Mr. Gérald Charles Genta’s legacy. It combines artistic creativity with technical mastery, showcasing Gerald Charles’ unparalleled expertise in high-end watchmaking. This limited-edition timepiece is a must-have for collectors and enthusiasts who appreciate the finest in horological artistry.
