Hodinkee, the ultimate destination for watch enthusiasts, has partnered with ZENITH, the legendary Swiss watchmaker, to introduce the ZENITH Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar Limited Edition. This exclusive watch, limited to just 200 pieces, pays homage to ZENITH’s iconic El Primero while incorporating modern innovations and timeless design.

A Tribute to El Primero’s Legacy

This 2024 special edition is inspired by a rare 1970 El Primero prototype and powered by ZENITH’s cutting-edge El Primero Caliber 3610. Featuring a high-frequency movement, a robust triple calendar, and a moon phase complication, this watch seamlessly blends vintage aesthetics with advanced technical precision.

CHRONOMASTER

Elegant Design and Unique Features

The Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar boasts a 38mm stainless steel case with a raised sapphire crystal reminiscent of vintage acrylic designs. The black dial showcases rhodium-plated indexes and a distinctive black moon phase disc, setting it apart from traditional gold-toned models. A versatile stainless steel bracelet is paired with an additional leather strap, providing both style and functionality.

A standout feature is the use of Gibeon Meteorite for the subdials. Formed over 4.5 billion years ago, this material adds a celestial touch, making each timepiece truly one of a kind. The chronograph hand, now in white, enhances the modern appeal while retaining its classic roots.

CHRONOMASTER

Advanced Movement for Precision

The watch houses the El Primero Caliber 3610, an evolution of ZENITH’s legendary high-frequency movement. It shares the original column-wheel design, ensuring reliability and precision. Unique to this model, the chronograph seconds hand completes a revolution every 10 seconds, exemplifying ZENITH’s hallmark 1/10th second chronograph feature.

A Collaborative Masterpiece

Romain Marietta, ZENITH’s Chief Product Officer, describes the watch as a perfect balance of vintage charm and modern sophistication. Ben Clymer, Hodinkee’s founder, highlights the collaboration’s innovation, particularly the use of meteorite elements, which ensure no two watches are alike.

Limited Availability and Pricing

Priced at $13,500, the ZENITH Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar Limited Edition for Hodinkee is available in a 200-piece run. The first 75 pieces are offered through the Hodinkee Shop, while the remaining 125 can be purchased on ZENITH’s official e-commerce platform starting October 9, 2024.

Why This Watch Matters

This limited-edition timepiece celebrates the legacy of El Primero, ZENITH’s groundbreaking innovations, and Hodinkee’s dedication to horological storytelling. By blending rare materials, cutting-edge mechanics, and timeless design, it represents the pinnacle of Swiss watchmaking.
