Woking, UK – June 2025 – In an unprecedented fusion of engineering prowess and racing heritage, McLaren Automotive and McLaren Racing unveil Project: Endurance, a first-of-its-kind programme that will allow a select group of clients to own an authentic 2027 Le Mans Hypercar. Set to redefine the relationship between elite motorsport and bespoke car ownership, this ultra-exclusive initiative coincides with McLaren’s return to the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and its continued pursuit of motorsport’s Triple Crown.
Born from McLaren’s unmatched legacy—one that includes victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Indianapolis 500, and Monaco Grand Prix—Project: Endurance represents a rare opportunity for passionate enthusiasts and collectors to become a part of history. Customers selected for the programme will own one of a limited number of customer LMH race cars, developed in tandem with McLaren’s official 2027 WEC entry, in collaboration with motorsport constructor Dallara.

As part of this immersive ownership experience, Project: Endurance members will gain unprecedented access to McLaren’s Hypercar development journey. This includes exclusive behind-the-scenes insight into the team’s test sessions, engineering processes, and race preparations. Participants will meet drivers and racing personnel, attending McLaren’s key endurance racing milestones—including the brand’s hotly anticipated campaign to win the Triple Crown in a single season.
McLaren CEO Nick Collins emphasized the vision:
“Project: Endurance is more than a car—it’s a gateway into the heart of our racing DNA. For the first time, our clients won’t just own a McLaren race car; they’ll live the racing experience alongside our team at the world’s most iconic tracks.”

Equipped with a race-built V6 twin-turbo hybrid powertrain, the Le Mans Hypercar will mirror its WEC counterpart’s technological innovation and track-focused performance. The car’s racing roots are further underscored by its development alongside Dallara, ensuring precision engineering of the highest order.
McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown echoed the excitement:
“Our return to the WEC with McLaren Endurance Racing opens a bold new chapter. Through Project: Endurance, we offer an unprecedented way for fans to join our pursuit for Le Mans glory—not just as spectators, but as true insiders.”

Adding to the programme’s exclusivity is a two-year McLaren track experience, taking place at top-tier circuits worldwide. Owners will enjoy arrive-and-drive access to race-prepped cars, complete with dedicated pit crews, driver coaching, and telemetry support—delivering professional-grade motorsport immersion.
With only a handful of customer cars to be produced, Project: Endurance is an elite invitation to become part of motorsport history. As McLaren prepares its return to Le Mans, this initiative cements the brand’s commitment to pushing boundaries—not only in engineering and performance but in how customers engage with its racing soul.
