Breitling has teamed up with football megastar Erling Haaland to unveil a stellar new collaboration: the Erling Haaland Signature Chronomat. Featuring dials cut from actual meteorite fragments, each piece in this limited-edition collection is as unique as the man who inspired it. The result is more than a timepiece—it’s a personal tribute to Haaland’s meteoric rise, combining Swiss precision with celestial materials.
At the heart of the launch are two standout models: the Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 in stainless steel and platinum, limited to 500 pieces, and the Chronomat B01 42 in 18k red gold, capped at just 250. In a further nod to exclusivity, a third ultra-rare version—limited to only five—was created solely for Haaland and his inner circle. Across the collection, the standout feature is the meteorite dial, with each slice offering a one-of-a-kind Widmanstätten pattern formed over billions of years in space.

Haaland played an active role in designing the watches, selecting the Chronomat model and choosing materials that align with his personality and career. “I wanted something one of a kind,” says Haaland. “The Chronomat just clicked. It’s clean, bold, and the meteorite dial ensures no two are ever the same.” This ethos of individuality aligns perfectly with the footballer’s style—powerful, precise, and unforgettable.
The Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 features a stainless steel case with a platinum bezel, paired with a meteorite dial and Haaland’s initials subtly integrated into the central seconds hand. Red-gold accents and a choice of black rubber or steel rouleaux bracelet make it a striking everyday piece. Meanwhile, the Chronomat B01 42 steps things up with an 18k red-gold case, black subdials, and a sapphire crystal caseback revealing the in-house movement.

For the select few, the “ONE OF 5” model goes further. Crafted entirely in 18k red gold with Haaland’s name and number engraved on the side, it includes a caseback etched with his iconic goal celebration pose—the ultimate symbol of his personal brand and achievements. This edition won’t be sold publicly, making it a collector’s dream.
A defining characteristic of the collection is the use of Muonionalusta meteorite—believed to have formed over 4.5 billion years ago and landed on Earth nearly a million years back. Mined in Sweden’s icy north, these ancient fragments are then sliced and treated to reveal their interlocking crystalline structure—something no human could replicate. It’s a dial that tells a story of time and space in the most literal sense.

Both watches come COSC-certified, ensuring top-tier chronometric performance. The B01 42 model houses the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01 with an impressive 70-hour power reserve, while the GMT 40 is equipped with the Caliber 32, offering dual-time capabilities in a slimmer profile. These technical specifications make them not just visually captivating, but mechanically exceptional.
Each timepiece is presented in a wooden box and accompanied by a handwritten thank-you note from Haaland, highlighting the intimate and collaborative nature of the collection. It’s a partnership that transcends marketing hype—melding athletic legacy, artisanal craftsmanship, and cosmic storytelling.
