The ethos of Aman, long defined by stillness, space and sanctuary, prepares to take to open water with the unveiling of Amangati. Marking the brand’s first ocean-going motor yacht, the debut signals a new chapter in ultra-luxury exploration, where the calm precision of an Aman retreat is translated seamlessly to the sea. Reservations for the inaugural Mediterranean season are now open, with voyages set to begin in spring 2027, extending the brand’s pathfinder spirit beyond land.
Currently under construction, Amangati has been conceived as a floating sanctuary rather than a conventional superyacht. Stretching 180 metres across nine decks, the vessel has been designed to prioritise spatial generosity and privacy, accommodating just 94 guests. Each suite opens onto a private terrace, reinforcing a sense of personal retreat while maintaining a constant dialogue with the sea. Light, openness and quiet flow define the experience.

The interiors draw subtle inspiration from the restrained elegance of a Japanese ryokan, shaping an atmosphere that feels composed and deeply restorative. Full-height windows dissolve the boundary between inside and out, while the pared-back material palette reflects Aman’s signature calm. Despite its scale, the yacht maintains an intimate, almost residential feeling, where guests move through spaces unhurriedly and without intrusion.
Wellness forms the emotional centre of life on board. Spanning two decks, the Aman Spa at Sea becomes the largest of its kind, offering ocean-facing treatment suites, serenity zones, and spaces dedicated to movement and restoration. Yoga, meditation and holistic therapies unfold alongside moments of stillness on sun decks and open-air pools. The sea itself becomes part of the ritual, shaping each day.

Culinary experiences aboard Amangati are guided by provenance and cultural nuance rather than formality. Distinct dining venues explore Mediterranean flavours, Japanese traditions and elemental grill cooking, while in-suite dining remains available at any hour. Evenings shift gently between quiet reflection and understated social energy, from jazz-led nights to private cinema screenings. Indulgence is present, but always restrained.
The inaugural itineraries chart a Mediterranean rarely experienced at this pace. Five- to eight-night journeys explore storied coastlines and intimate harbours, favouring late departures, overnight stays and rare access points over conventional routes. Select sailings align with significant cultural moments, allowing guests to encounter destinations in heightened, more resonant contexts. The rhythm is immersive, not rushed.

Ashore, bespoke exploration reflects Aman’s enduring respect for sense of place. Cultural, artistic and historical encounters are curated with precision, complemented by discreet, concierge-led logistics. At sea, intuitive service ensures seamless continuity, allowing guests to move freely between solitude and discovery. With Amangati, Aman does not simply enter the world of yachting; it redefines it, offering tranquillity not as an escape, but as a journey.
