Featuring a deep red dial, ultra-thin calibre 2160, 188 components, 80-hour power reserve and Hallmark of Geneva certification.

A Tourbillon That Transcends Convention

With the introduction of a titanium model featuring a deep red dial, the Vacheron Constantin Overseas Tourbillon marks a decisive evolution within one of haute horlogerie’s most respected sports collections. For the first time, the Overseas Tourbillon pairs a fully titanium construction with this rich, lacquered hue—bringing a fresh aesthetic dimension to a watch already celebrated for its technical pedigree.

Titanium, long admired for its resilience and lightness, reinforces the sporty yet refined spirit of the Overseas line. Approximately 30 percent stronger than steel and nearly half its weight, grade 5 titanium ensures durability without compromising comfort—an essential quality for a watch conceived for travel and active lifestyles.

Technical Precision Meets Sport in Titanium

The 42.5 mm case, measuring just 10.39 mm thick, underscores the Maison’s pursuit of slimness and performance. The interplay of finishes—vertical satin-brushing on the case and bracelet, polished link angles, and a circular satin-brushed bezel evoking the Maltese cross—creates subtle contrasts that elevate the watch’s architectural precision.

The deep red dial introduces a compelling visual signature. Its sunburst satin-finished base and velvet-finished flange intensify the color’s depth, while 18K white gold hour markers and hands, treated with blue Super-LumiNova®, ensure legibility. At 6 o’clock, the tourbillon cage—complete with blued screws—serves as both regulator and focal point, emphasizing the watch’s horological authority.

The timepiece is water-resistant to 50 metres and features a soft iron casing ring for anti-magnetic protection, reinforcing its credentials as a true luxury sports watch.

One Watch, Three Styles

In keeping with the versatility expected of the Overseas collection, the titanium tourbillon is delivered with three interchangeable options. The integrated titanium bracelet is secured by a triple-blade folding clasp with push-pieces and a comfort-adjustment system allowing a 4 mm extension for wrist expansion.

Two additional rubber straps—one deep red, one white—offer a more contemporary aesthetic. Both are fitted with a self-interchangeable titanium folding clasp, enabling effortless transitions between formal and casual expressions without tools.

The Ultra-Thin Calibre 2160

At the heart of the Overseas Tourbillon beats the automatic calibre 2160, developed and manufactured in-house by Vacheron Constantin. Measuring only 5.65 mm thick, this ultra-thin movement allows the watch to maintain a remarkably slim profile while delivering an approximately 80-hour power reserve.

The calibre employs a peripheral oscillating weight in 916/1000 gold, decorated with guilloché finishing. This architecture offers two significant advantages: an unobstructed view of the movement through the sapphire caseback and a reduction in overall thickness.

Comprising 188 components and 30 jewels, the movement operates at 18,000 vibrations per hour (2.5 Hz). The openworked tourbillon cage incorporates a peripheral drive system, eliminating the need for a central pinion and optimizing energy transmission from the mainspring barrel to the balance wheel.

Every detail reflects meticulous craftsmanship: a circular-grained mainplate, Côtes de Genève–finished bridges, hand-beveling, grained wheels and polished screws. The timepiece is certified with the Hallmark of Geneva, affirming its exceptional finishing and origin.

Titanium and the Overseas Spirit

Titanium has progressively become integral to the Overseas collection. Initially introduced for specific components, the material has, in recent years, defined full titanium models that offer an alternative to traditional steel versions. Its hypoallergenic properties, corrosion resistance and mechanical strength align seamlessly with the collection’s travel-oriented DNA.

The deep red dial continues the Maison’s exploration of bold colorways within the Overseas line, following previous ventures into green, gold and pink hues. Elegant yet intense, the shade adds a contemporary edge without departing from the refined codes of the Manufacture.

Founded in 1755, Vacheron Constantin remains the world’s oldest watch manufacture in continuous production, a distinction that lends historical weight to each new innovation. The Overseas Tourbillon in titanium is available exclusively through Vacheron Constantin boutiques.
