The French maison unveils a new chapter in its Hermessence collection as Fleur de Peau blends iris and musk into a delicate harmony, creating a fragrance that feels uniquely like a second skin.
A Legacy of Scent and Craftsmanship
Since 2004, the Hermessence collection has expressed the very essence of Hermès through fragrance. Each creation is a delicate interplay of materials, skillfully woven by the perfumer to achieve an unprecedented poetic balance—where imagination meets sensory reality. Presented in the house’s emblematic lantern bottle with a leather cap and signature saddle stitching, every Hermessence evokes a timeless encounter between scent and wearer.

Musc Pallida: A Second Skin
Christine Nagel, Creative Director of Hermès Perfumes, introduces Musc Pallida, a composition that honors the precious iris pallida. The fragrance melds powdery iris with enveloping musks, producing an intimate and captivating aura. “In an olfactory transposition of the saddle stitch, the two materials—like two pieces of leather sewn together—gently embrace and reveal themselves to one another,” explains Nagel. The lantern bottle, adorned in golden hues reminiscent of iris, houses this “second skin” fragrance, complemented by an ivory-leather cap with yellow-orange stitching.
A Journey Through Hermessence
Musc Pallida joins a distinguished lineup of Hermessence creations, each cultivating a personal connection with the skin:
- Cuir d’Ange evokes a tender dance of leather and musk, inspired by Jean Giono’s literary work Jean le Bleu.
- Violette Volynka marries shy violet with robust Hermès leather, a dialogue between powdery softness and striking intensity.
- Oud Alezan transforms the emotional resonance of chestnut horse stables into a combination of oud wood, fresh rose hydrosol, and rose oxide, creating a sensory immersion unlike any other.
