1000 Miglia Srl – the Italian company that organises the 1000 Miglia, also known as “The Most Beautiful Race in the World” – and Octanium Experiences have announced that the first-ever “1000 Miglia Experience UAE” will take place from the 4th to the 8th of December, 2022.
Since 1977, the 1000 Miglia has transformed into the most important regularity race in the world for historic cars. The Red Arrow, as it is fondly called, remains faithful to the original route crossing Italy and its exquisite local regions. 1000 Miglia celebrates its 95th birthday.
In the modern version of the event, competitors follow a roadbook on public roads to travel from one passage control to another, challenged by complex time trials, while the public follows the convoy along the route, enjoying the sight of a huge and diverse group of rare cars in action.
The 1000 Miglia Experience UAE is an invitation-only event open to 100 owners of landmark automobiles, from legendary classics to iconic supercars of the modern era. Following the highly successful Prologue warm-up event held from February 18th to 20th, which drew 43 participants and 3000 visitors, the 1000 Miglia Experience UAE is the natural evolution of the classic motorsport scene in the UAE.
As with the Prologue, Octanium Experiences will host a special kick-off day on the 4th of December, showcasing the participant vehicles and the very best of the UAE car culture, supported by the country’s top influential car clubs and communities. In addition, the launch day includes practical training for the competitors and technical scrutineering of the participating vehicles.
On December 5th 2022, the one hundred participating teams will leave the Dubai starting line on a 1,600km journey covering all seven Emirates – a feat that has never been attempted before by a classic car event in the UAE.
From Dubai, the rally heads to the sinewy coastline of Fujairah, then changes course inland to the rocky expanse of Ras Al Khaimah, where the vintage automobiles will put their mechanical ability to the ultimate test: the soaring Jebel Jais road, which even modern cars struggle to overcome.
After a relaxing overnight stay at the exclusive Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, the rally continues down the western UAE shores via the mangroves of Umm Al Quwain, along the coastline of Ajman, then curving inward to the towering red sand dunes and ancient archaeological sites of Sharjah, before returning to Dubai for a second evening and special challenges, yet to be revealed. Finally, the rally departs on the 8th of December to Abu Dhabi for a grand finale at the Emirates Palace hotel.

The UAE Ministry of Interior is the main Government Partner, with supporting partners Emirates Motorsport Organization, the UAE Government Media Office and the Tourism Authorities of each individual Emirate.
