The newly reopened Bab Al Shams, the desert resort that combines rustic charm with premium hospitality, is offering an exceptional Ramadan experience this year.
The resort’s Al Hadheerah restaurant, serving a blend of Middle Eastern gastronomy, will be serving an Arabian feast, accompanied by live performances. As the night unfolds, visitors can meander through history in a colourful souk experience featuring handmade carpets, exotic perfumes, sand art and camel wool pashminas.
Guests also have the option of accompanying seasoned guides into the desert for a trek across the sands, camelback trekking or including a falconry display.
Bab Al Shams Desert Resort, owned by the Meydan City Corporation and managed by Kerzner International Holdings, is located 45 minutes from the heart of Dubai. It is in close proximity to off-site attractions like the Al Qudra man-made lakes and scenic cycling and camping spots.
Arabic for ‘Gateway to the Sun’, Bab Al Shams features 115 lavish rooms and suites accompanied by redefined dining and eclectic entertainment. The iconic architecture, inspired by a traditional Arabian fort, is home to an array of desert adventures, including breakfast on hot air balloons, horse-riding, camelback trekking, falconry, nature tours to Al Marmoom and much more.
The longest-running desert escape in the UAE is part of the Rare Finds collection – a series of hospitality addresses bringing forward the essence of a place and promising soulful experiences.
