Nespresso x Sarah’s Bag: A Handcrafted Expression of Purpose and Style

In a quiet yet powerful statement on sustainability and craftsmanship, Nespresso has partnered with Lebanese fashion house Sarah’s Bag to create a limited-edition artisanal clutch — a design that fuses recycled materials with meaningful social impact. This collaboration marks a first for Nespresso in the region, extending its circular design philosophy into the realm of fashion.

Handmade by female artisans in Lebanon, each piece is a work of transformation: 75 to 80 recycled Nespresso aluminium capsules are flattened and reimagined as delicate sequins, forming the intricate 3D floral centerpiece that defines the bag. Woven straw evokes the texture of jute coffee bags, and every element — from the brass clasp to the hand-stitched cotton lining — is a testament to careful design and purpose-driven detail.

At its core, the collaboration reflects two aligned missions. Nespresso’s commitment to circularity and Sarah’s Bag’s deep roots in empowering women through craftsmanship make this partnership more than aesthetic — it is a shared pursuit of sustainability and social impact. The capsules, collected and cleaned by Nespresso’s recycling partner Arc en Ciel, are transformed through 15 hours of careful handiwork into something entirely new: a fashion piece that quietly challenges the perception of waste.

Founded by Sarah Beydoun in 2000, Sarah’s Bag has long blended beauty with purpose, offering rehabilitation and employment to women at risk and former inmates through meticulous handcraft. This latest collection carries forward that same ethos, presenting fashion not just as a visual language, but as a medium for empowerment and revival.

“Nespresso strongly believes in circularity and reviving materials into second-life objects,” says Shirin Moayyad, Coffee Storyteller at Nespresso HQ. “Collaborating with a social entrepreneur like Sarah Beydoun brings our vision into the world of fashion in a deeply meaningful way.”

For Beydoun, the collaboration is a natural alignment. “At Sarah’s Bag, every piece tells a story — of resilience, of empowerment, of purpose. Turning used Nespresso capsules into artful designs felt like a beautiful extension of what we’ve always stood for.”

This exclusive launch is more than a creative project — it’s a conversation starter. It invites today’s conscious consumers to explore how innovation and tradition can coalesce, how luxury and responsibility can share space, and how fashion can be a catalyst for both environmental and social change.
