‘The 4 Bedroom Residence’ at Raffles Seychelles recently opened its doors to welcome guests from around the world. To entice summer holiday makers from across the GCC region, the resort is offering 15% off their Bed and Breakfast rate for booking done at least 15 days in advance. Guests planning a holiday for 14 or more days can get up to 30% off on the “best available rate” and 20% off laundry, food and beverage and spa. Both offers include daily breakfast for two people.
The Raffles Seychelles is a serene 40-acre villas-only beachfront resort set on the north-eastern slopes of Praslin Island, overlooking the Indian Ocean. The resort shares the island with Vallée De Mai national park, a UNESCO world heritage site and home to coco de mer – a coconut palm species unique to the island. Just around the corner from the resort is Anse Lazio, considered among the best beaches in the archipelago.
The resort guarantees “absolute privacy” at its 87 villas, each with its own private pool and stunning views. Stretched across 500 meters of shorefront land, the resort’s new ‘4 Bedroom Residence’ can host up to eight adults or two adults plus six children.
The luxuriously designed villa is spacious and airy, boasting semi-abstract paintings by Sheila Markham; a local artist renowned for her artwork depicting the island nation’s rich culture. The vibrancy of Seychelles is also reflected in the villa furnishings, featuring a mix of blue, green, and neutral tones – as a nod to the surrounding natural beauty.
The Residence is nestled in a lush environment, and is surrounded by broad terraces that offer guests views of the Indian Ocean. The generosity is echoed in the multiple bedrooms and lounge areas made for alfresco living. A private pool set at the pool pavilion comes complete with a lounge to indulge in sunset drinks.
There is a separate entertainment room and a gourmet kitchen to satisfy the palate. A double walk-in closet is arranged by the butler. Guests can choose to enjoy the indoor rain showers or take relaxing deep-soak baths with views that enchant. While it offers complete seclusion, the Residence is also within strolling distance from the resort’s amenities and services, which can also be accessed by the 24-hour private buggy transportation.
Guests have a selection of excellent dining venues to choose from at the resort. Curieuse is an atmospheric, island-chic fine-dine restaurant which also includes the Sushi Room, celebrating the island’s world-class seafood. Losean is an all-day restaurant serving breakfast dishes from around the world to an evening menu inspired by the Indian Ocean. The Pool Restaurant serves salads, sandwiches and well-loved classics from around the world, as well as sushi and sashimi, while the Pool Bar serves the best of island mixology.
For couples who choose to have their moment of rejuvenation, the resort boasts the award-winning Raffles Spa. Engaging activities for the young travellers include private cinema nights under the starry Seychelles skies, a snack bar with movie snacks and beverages; a kid-friendly spa day, where the little ones can indulge in a gentle scrub while enjoying their chocolate wraps; and a children’s only movie night at Losean.
For kids seeking an adventurous holiday, the resort has designed several tailored programmes and fun activities, including Aldabra tortoise feeding on the property’s dedicated park, cooking classes, paddle boarding, treasure hunts, nature trails and an introduction to the world of bees at Raffles Seychelles’ onsite bee farm.
