Dunhill unveils its Autumn/Winter 2025 collection under the creative direction of Simon Holloway, continuing to redefine English classicism with a touch of casual elegance and sophisticated wardrobe essentials. This season pays homage to the athleticism inherent in the English Drape suit, a style introduced in the 1930s by London tailor Fredrick Scholte and popularized by the Duke of Windsor. The refined blade-cut silhouette with its natural sporting shoulder is a recurring motif throughout the collection.

A Tribute to Heritage and Craftsmanship

The collection opens with a sophisticated exploration of noble camel hair, offering topcoats in hues ranging from rare pale blonde to classic gold and ginger. These exquisite pieces are crafted in the signature House Bourdon-cut or tailored as balmacaans, complemented by coordinating blazers and wide-wale corduroys. Emphasizing the contrast between rakish informality and regimental discipline, the collection transitions into structured peacoats and bridge coats in deep navy Melton, adorned with burnished brass buttons.

Simon Holloway’s vision embraces informal formality by layering refined outerwear with heritage-stitched sweaters, subtly patterned shirts, and meticulously crafted haberdashery. The quintessential Dunhill tailoring for urban sophistication is highlighted by formal chalk-striped suits and immaculate double-face topcoats in charcoal grey and navy blue.

Inspired by the Archive

Holloway draws inspiration from Dunhill’s rich archives, reinterpreting the House’s iconic car coats. Charcoal grey suede shearling and fine wool whipcord iterations pay tribute to Alfred Dunhill’s pioneering spirit in menswear. A standout in the collection is the elevated double-faced ebony French lambskin car coat, lined with cashmere tartan, demonstrating the brand’s mastery in craftsmanship.

The brand’s inherent eclecticism shines through expressive ensembles—tattersall blazers paired with citrine cords and clashing heather blue shirts that exude playful British hedonism. Textural richness continues with Donegal tweeds juxtaposed against velvet, British windowpanes, gun club patterns, tattersall, and glen-checks in blazers, car coats, and driving jackets.

The Art of Evening Wear

Dunhill’s dedication to eveningwear excellence continues with smoking jackets adorned with tie-print motifs, including House paisley, medallions, and ‘neats,’ printed on velvet, ancient madder silk, or wool twill. Complemented by clashing silk accessories—bow ties, scarves, and pocket squares—this segment of the collection encapsulates the art of British style.

Tartan suits with matching coats represent the epitome of English eccentricity, while black velvet and midnight barathea lounge suits reflect the House’s 131-year heritage of tailoring finesse. The transition from cocktail attire to black-tie elegance is seamless, emphasizing Dunhill’s mastery in formalwear.

Footwear and Accessories Evolution

Expanding its footwear repertoire, Dunhill introduces new hues and textures across its Davies hybrid sneaker range, now available in stone, opium, and golden brown. The Made-in-England capsule includes refined tasselled and strap loafers in oak patina calf, black, and chocolate suede. Complementing the classic eveningwear offering, the Cypher Needle jacquard Grecian slipper is presented in midnight, deep green, black, and burgundy.

Leather goods remain a cornerstone of the collection, with continued iterations of the House icon ‘Century’ bag. This season, classic and nubuck alligator leather variations are introduced, highlighted by a capacious grey holdall. Functional elegance is key, with carry-accessories such as eyewear holders, AirPod cases, pocket watch sleeves, and a bespoke Dunhill Unique lighter case.

A Legacy of Excellence

Dunhill’s Autumn/Winter 2025 collection is a testament to the House’s enduring commitment to fine tailoring, luxurious materials, and an effortless blend of tradition and modernity. From the regimental precision of tailored coats to the playful extravagance of smoking jackets, the collection encapsulates the rich tapestry of British sartorial heritage.
