Blancpain Unveils Royal Purple Ladybird Colors: A Tribute to Feminine Craftsmanship

Blancpain continues to expand its radiant Ladybird Colors collection with the launch of a striking new capsule in royal purple—a shade synonymous with refinement, regality, and individuality. The latest interpretation of this iconic timepiece merges jewellery-level craftsmanship with high horology, making a compelling statement on the wrist. At its heart lies a rare and luminous nacre perlée dial, harmonised with regal Roman numerals and a vibrant purple alligator leather strap, adding to an already rich palette of hues that celebrate the spirit of the modern woman.

The new Ladybird Colors Royal Purple model isn’t just a colour story—it’s a masterclass in artisanal excellence. Crafted from the rarest part of the shell, nacre perlée is known for its delicately grained texture and iridescent glow, a material used sparingly in watchmaking due to its fragility and scarcity. This unique dial is framed by an 18K red or white gold case set with over two carats of diamonds, including 70 stones arranged in concentric circles and additional gems on the lugs, bezel, crown, and buckle. It’s an embodiment of luxury, designed for women who seek timeless elegance with a contemporary edge.

Technically, the timepiece upholds Blancpain’s legacy of miniaturised precision. Powered by the Manufacture Calibre 1163L, the automatic movement offers a four-day power reserve and features a poetic moonphase complication along with a small seconds subdial at six o’clock. Signature sage leaf hands and royal purple Roman numerals—inclined and applied directly onto the pearled mother-of-pearl—complete the dial’s visual harmony. The richly pigmented alligator leather strap, with its nuanced gradient between scales, elevates the watch to wearable artistry.

The Ladybird line has deep roots in feminine watchmaking, dating back to 1956 when Blancpain introduced the smallest round mechanical movement of its time. From Betty Fiechter’s visionary leadership in the 1930s to the avant-garde mechanical achievements of today, Blancpain has consistently championed women’s horology through both form and function. The Ladybird Colors Royal Purple capsule is a contemporary continuation of this legacy—reverent of tradition yet boldly forward-looking.

With the introduction of royal purple, the Ladybird Colors collection reinforces its position as a canvas for personal expression, celebrating the nuances of femininity through technical mastery and chromatic artistry. This latest iteration is more than just a seasonal addition—it’s a jewel of motion and meaning, one that brings light to the wrist and legacy to the everyday.

What sets the Ladybird Colors Royal Purple edition apart is its subtle interplay between opulence and restraint. The deep violet hue is both fashion-forward and timeless, chosen not merely for its visual impact but for its emotional resonance—symbolising creativity, power, and self-assured femininity. It’s a colour that whispers sophistication while making a confident, unmistakable statement. Whether paired with formal eveningwear or a tailored daytime ensemble, the watch becomes an expression of identity, taste, and independent spirit.

In a world where luxury often equates to excess, Blancpain’s Ladybird Colors speaks to a quieter, more personal form of refinement. The Royal Purple capsule is not just about adornment—it’s about craftsmanship you can feel, legacy you can wear, and design that endures. With every tick of its intricate movement and every flicker of light off its diamonds and dial, it invites the wearer into a storied lineage of innovation and elegance that continues to define the best of feminine haute horlogerie.
