Breitling continues to redefine luxury watchmaking with the release of the newest Navitimer B19, now featuring the brand’s first perpetual calendar chronograph manufacture movement, the Caliber B19. This latest addition to the Navitimer collection shines with a radiant ice-blue dial, platinum bezel, and stainless-steel case, making it a timepiece built to last for generations.

Iconic Design Meets Modern Innovation

With over 70 years of history, the Breitling Navitimer remains one of the most iconic watches in the world, instantly recognizable by its circular slide rule, notched bezel, and chronograph function. Originally designed in 1952 for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), the Navitimer quickly became a vital tool for pilots during the jet age. Its ability to perform onboard calculations made it the first wristwatch flight computer, but its timeless design soon transcended aviation to become a coveted style icon, worn by legends like Miles Davis and Serge Gainsbourg.

Introducing the Caliber B19: Breitling’s First Perpetual Calendar Movement

At the heart of this latest Navitimer is the Caliber B19, a groundbreaking perpetual calendar chronograph movement that marks a new era for Breitling’s in-house watchmaking. First unveiled in 2023 as part of Breitling’s 140th anniversary celebrations, the B19 movement combines chronograph precision with a self-correcting calendar complication that automatically adjusts for leap years and varying month lengths.

The Caliber B19 has undergone rigorous testing to achieve COSC certification, including a 16-year aging simulation with:

  • 100,000 crown winds
  • 3,456,000 weight turns
  • 60,000 shocks at 500G

With a 96-hour power reserve, this movement requires only minor adjustments to maintain perfect accuracy for a full century.

Aesthetic Excellence: Ice-Blue Dial and Platinum Bezel

The newest Navitimer B19 stands out with its captivating ice-blue dial, accented by an illustrated moonphase display at 12 o’clock. The luxurious platinum bezel and 43 mm stainless-steel case add to its refined aesthetic, while the open case back allows wearers to admire the intricate movement.

Two strap options are available to suit different styles:

  • Black alligator leather strap with a folding buckle for classic elegance
  • Seven-row stainless-steel bracelet with a butterfly clasp for a modern look

A Timepiece for Generations

Breitling CEO Georges Kern describes the Navitimer B19 as a true icon, stating, “Combined with the perpetual calendar chronograph movement, the B19 is a tour de force, never missing a beat for a full century. It’s a watch that will keep time for generations.”

With the introduction of the Caliber B19, Breitling elevates the Navitimer to new heights—offering not just a timepiece, but a legacy of precision, functionality, and timeless design.

The Breitling Navitimer B19 redefines what it means to own a luxury watch. Combining aviation heritage with cutting-edge perpetual calendar technology, it is a masterpiece built to withstand the test of time. Whether paired with a leather strap or stainless-steel bracelet, this ice-blue Navitimer is a must-have for collectors and connoisseurs alike.
