For the first time Singer Reimagined is delighted to participate in the 8th edition of the biennial Only Watch auction by dona¬ting a one-of-kind watch created explicitly for this charitable event: the first and only Black Damascus Steel version of Singer Track1 chronograph.
The Auction will be organized by Christie’s within the scope of Only Watch gala 2019 scheduled to take place at The Four Seasons Hôtel des Bergues in Geneva on November 9th, 2019. Only Watch is a world-renowned charitable fundraiser which has been held every two years since 2005, and which raises money into research on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Participating watch brands in previous years, all of which donated a unique watch, to name few : Bell & Ross, Blancpain, Boucheron, Breguet, Chanel, Chopar, De Bethune, De Gri¬sogono , FP Journe, Frédérique Constant, Girard Perregaux, H.Moser & Cie, Harry Winston, Her¬mès, Hublot, IWC, Jacob&Co, Piaget, Rebellion, Richard Mille, Tudor, Ulysse Nardin, Vacheron Constantin, Van Cleef & Arpels and Zenith.
This year, Singer Reimagined is honoured to donate its unique Black Damascus Steel piece, created exclusively for OnlyWatch. This one-of-a-kind Edition was developed in collaboration with Swedish Masters Johan Gustafsson and Patrik Sjögren, who created the specific Black Damascus Steel used for the watch case. This material is realised by hand forging together two different steel types layered and folded multiple times. The elaborate finishing combines deep-etched surfaces with lightly etched ones and high-gloss polished chamfers, revealing the Damascus steel pattern in different ways. The specially developed PVD coating enhance the contrast toward exclusive golden details on the dial. The strap receives as well golden stitching and golden titanium screw-down signature rivets.
The unique Agengraphe movement has been developed during a decade thanks to Agenhor creative and engineering talents.
The chronograph’s hours, minutes and seconds are coaxially mounted in the center of the dial, taking central stage.
Uncommonly, day-time is displayed on dial periphery and indicated digitally at 6 o’clock via the luminescent pointer set above 2 ceramic disks rotating clockwise, featuring luminescent hours and minutes marks.
To offer a complete Singer experience, Singer Reimagined is offering to the winning bidder the opportunity to visit Agenhor manufacture in Ge¬neva – Switzerland to uncover the art of watch-making and the care in assembling our timepieces and the unique possibility to open doors to the L.A based workshop to discover the behind-the-scenes work necessary to realise the exclusive car restorations signed Singer Vehicle Design.
Before it is auctioned off, the Singer Track1-Only Watch Edition will be en-route for a world tour starting next 25th September 2019 in Monaco and ending on 9th November 2019 in Geneva.
