Precision in Motion: Louis Moinet Unveils RUSH and WHITE FUJI Editions of TIME TO RACE

In a realm where passion meets precision, Louis Moinet has once again redefined horological performance with the introduction of two striking editions to its TIME TO RACE collection—RUSH and WHITE FUJI. Boldly individual and undeniably engineered for those with a taste for adrenaline, these timepieces are far more than accessories; they are mechanical tributes to racing heritage and personal expression.

The RUSH, cloaked in an intense metallic blue, calls upon the legendary legacy of Ecurie Ecosse and their triumphs at Le Mans—a colour that breathes velocity. In contrast, WHITE FUJI radiates purity and power with a gleaming white dial punctuated by sharp red accents, evoking the spirit of Japanese racing dominance and the iconic liveries that once reigned over Formula One circuits. Each edition is an ode to the golden era of competition, yet deeply rooted in contemporary innovation.

The TIME TO RACE concept is as personal as it is performative. Each piece is uniquely defined by a single “lucky number,” chosen by its owner and displayed on a polished white background at six o’clock, bordered by a gleaming metal ring inspired by race car cylinder bores. Far from arbitrary decoration, this number is a declaration of individuality—a talisman in motion. The chronograph itself is encased in grade 5 titanium, boasting a featherweight 18 grams. It’s a case of refined strength, aerodynamic in design, and complemented by openworked, satin-finished lugs and a protective crown guard.

On the wrist, the TIME TO RACE is a mechanical sculpture in constant readiness. Its sapphire dome, weighing a mere 15 grams, offers a panoramic window into the beating heart beneath: a column-wheel chronograph of exceptional finesse. The visual choreography of rocker, clutch, springs, and gearwheels is as captivating as a race in motion—each component working in seamless unity, each push of the monopusher a performance in precision.

Power is not simply suggested—it is inherent. This chronograph’s upper visual mechanism comprises 147 meticulously assembled components, while the automatic movement beneath is built from an additional 164. The dial’s carbon-fibre base, framed by a tachometric scale, drives home the performance ethos that defines every detail. The off-centre time display at six o’clock, both functional and sculptural, feels intuitively placed—yet deeply engineered.

With RUSH and WHITE FUJI, Louis Moinet doesn’t just honour motorsport; it captures its spirit in a watch that is meant to be lived, raced, and remembered. Each piece is a declaration—of speed, of personal narrative, and of horological art in motion.

What sets the TIME TO RACE collection apart is its unwavering focus on emotion through engineering. Jean-Marie Schaller, CEO and Creative Director of Louis Moinet, has crafted a watch that doesn’t just measure time—it celebrates the split-second drama that defines motorsport. Every element, from the carbon-fibre dial to the tachometric flange, is a deliberate nod to competition, where precision is everything and individuality is non-negotiable.

In a world saturated with homage and imitation, RUSH and WHITE FUJI stand as originals—each one a singular creation defined by its chosen number, its racing soul, and its impeccable execution. This is not a watch for those who merely admire the sport—it’s for those who live it. With TIME TO RACE, Louis Moinet invites collectors to choose not just a timepiece, but a statement: one that accelerates with purpose and resonates with legacy.
