The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) Foundation has inaugurated the Geneva stage of its 2025 World Tour at the Musée d’Art et d’Histoire, placing contemporary watchmaking art in the spotlight until 16 November 2025. Following successful showcases in Shanghai and Istanbul, this exhibition brings together the most exceptional timepieces of the year, celebrating innovation, artistry, and craftsmanship in Swiss horology.
The exhibition features 84 watches and six clocks from 54 leading brands, each competing for one of 20 coveted prizes — including the prestigious “Aiguille d’Or” Grand Prix. The winners will be revealed on 13 November at the 25th GPHG Awards Ceremony, held at Geneva’s Bâtiment des Forces Motrices (BFM), and streamed live worldwide on gphg.org from 6 p.m.
Designed as an immersive cultural event, the exhibition offers visitors an unparalleled opportunity to explore the year’s most remarkable horological creations — from grand complications and artistic masterpieces to avant-garde innovations and accessible models. Together, these pieces testify to the creative vitality and renewed excellence of contemporary watchmaking.
Beyond the displays, the GPHG offers an enriching program of guided tours, expert-led workshops, and interactive educational sessions. In collaboration with the Geneva School of Watchmaking, guests can experience the intricate techniques of assembly, bevelling, and pivot burnishing. Special sessions are also dedicated to students and families, where younger visitors can craft sundials or learn the art of engraving under professional guidance.
Complementing these experiences, the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie will host a special talk on historical timepieces that have defined the evolution of watchmaking. HEAD–Geneva’s Beyond The Clock exhibition adds a contemporary dimension, exploring our perception of time through art and design, while The Watch Library invites visitors to rediscover the GPHG’s archival treasures.
