In honour of World Bee Day, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has deepened its commitment to environmental stewardship with the expansion of its Apiary Programme across the United Arab Emirates. Rooted in the success of the marque’s original bee initiative at Goodwood in England, the UAE chapter reinforces a vision of sustainability through education and biodiversity. This year’s expansion sees new installations take root in Ajman and Abu Dhabi, enriching both landscape and learning.

Set within the lush grounds of Al Zorah Golf Club in Ajman, the newly unveiled Rolls-Royce Dubai Apiary comprises six intricately designed beehives. Each structure is carefully engineered to endure the UAE’s unique climate, while echoing the elegance and craftsmanship associated with the Rolls-Royce name. The hives pay homage to the marque’s legacy, with names such as Cullinan, Ghost, Phantom, Spectre, Spirit of Ecstasyu, and Sir Henry Royce. Already welcoming students from schools and universities, the Ajman site has become a living classroom, offering hands-on workshops that link scientific understanding with ecological responsibility. These immersive sessions highlight the vital role bees play in pollination, food systems, and broader biodiversity, fostering awareness in a generation that will shape tomorrow’s environmental decisions.
In the nation’s capital, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Abu Dhabi has inaugurated an apiary at the Erth Hotel, a serene retreat where nature and luxury converge. Home to three meticulously crafted hives and an estimated 60,000 bees — including three Emirati queen bees — the installation is a living testament to national pride and sustainability. The apiary enhances the local environment not only for pollinators but also for migratory birds, creating a ripple effect of ecological benefit. The Abu Dhabi project stands as a powerful example of how bespoke craftsmanship can intersect with conservation to support a balanced and thriving ecosystem.

With both locations, the Apiary Programme embodies a philosophy that extends far beyond automotive excellence. It represents a cultural investment in biodiversity and educational outreach. Through its pollinator-friendly spaces, community workshops, and thoughtful design, Rolls-Royce is cultivating more than honey — it’s nurturing a legacy of responsibility, innovation, and reverence for nature. In each carefully constructed hive and every student it inspires, the programme reflects the marque’s broader commitment to shaping a sustainable future, rooted in craftsmanship and care.
The expansion of the Apiary Programme is more than symbolic—it’s part of a deliberate and evolving strategy by Rolls-Royce to engage with environmental issues through meaningful, long-term action. By introducing apiaries into urban luxury destinations, the marque bridges the worlds of ecological preservation and contemporary lifestyle. These carefully positioned spaces are not just sanctuaries for bees—they are platforms for awareness, discovery, and change, designed to resonate with both the communities they serve and the discerning clientele they attract.

Central to the initiative is a belief in education as a driver for transformation. The immersive student workshops offered at both Ajman and Abu Dhabi locations are designed to instill a sense of curiosity, responsibility, and wonder. These sessions blend environmental science with hands-on learning, creating memorable experiences that cultivate a deeper connection to the natural world. By embedding these values in the next generation, Rolls-Royce aims to ensure that its impact extends well beyond the hives, fostering a legacy of informed stewardship across the Emirates.
