Archetypes such as the Texan boot, desert boot, mountain boot, deck shoe, the lace-up and the derby get a new interpretation with materials, proportions and the way they are treated. Lines are bold. The double monkstrap, a Santoni pillar, gains a thick sole and a pragmatic allure. Sums of leathers give character to the lace-up ankle boot.
The more formal styles are characterised by tapered lines and an idea of extreme refinement of detail: oversized buckles, fringes and surprising textures.
