Celebrating Two Decades of Watchmaking Innovation with Limited-Edition Legacy Machine Timepieces
A Legacy of Innovation
This year marks a milestone in the world of haute horology as MB&F commemorates 20 years of groundbreaking watchmaking. From its inception in 2005, MB&F has redefined creativity in the industry, beginning with Horological Machine No. 1 and evolving into a collective of over 60 dedicated artisans. Reflecting on the journey, founder Maximilian Büsser shares, “It is like a dream come true; only I never dreamt it. I could never have even imagined we would be where we are today; it is surreal.”
This landmark anniversary is being celebrated with a series of exciting releases, collaborations, and innovations—kicking off with the highly anticipated LM Perpetual Longhorn and LM Sequential Flyback Longhorn. Each model is a limited-edition masterpiece, with just 20 pieces crafted in stainless steel, featuring rhodium-plated base plates, glossy black lacquer dials, and striking blued hands.
The Longhorn Concept: A Design Reimagined
The “Longhorn” design—characterized by extended, sleek lugs—originated in 2009 during the development of the Legacy Machine No.1 (LM1). Initially set aside due to practical challenges in wrist fit, the concept was resurrected in 2021 for a one-of-a-kind LM1 prototype auctioned by Phillips, benefiting Save the Rhino International. The design’s resurgence, coupled with the positive feedback from enthusiasts, inspired its inclusion in these celebratory editions.

Both the LM Perpetual Longhorn and the LM Sequential Flyback Longhorn feature this distinctive lug design, paired with an elegant black-and-silver aesthetic that emphasizes MB&F’s commitment to craftsmanship and innovation.
