Founded in 1755, Vacheron Constantin is the world’s oldest watch manufacturer in continuous production, that’s over 265 years of not just surviving, but staying at the pinnacle of Haute Horlogerie. With an understated elegance, the maison creates timepieces with unique technical and aesthetic signatures, and with an extremely high level of finishing touches. Current collections: Patrimony, Traditionnelle, Métiers d’Art, Overseas, Fiftysix, Historiques and Égérie. For its discerning clientele, it offers the opportunity to acquire bespoke timepieces through its “Les Cabinotiers” department, which also creates “La Musique du Temps” – a range of exceptional and unique chimers.
Les Cabinotiers Grand Complication Split-Seconds Chronograph – Tempo
This is the most complicated wristwatch ever produced by the Maison. It is a one-of-a-kind double-sided timepiece that displays the chronograph hours and measurements on the front, along with a perpetual calendar. The back is dedicated to astronomical functions, including indications of solar time, equation of time, sunrise and sunset, day and night duration, as well as the age and phase of the moon. This watch, featuring a tourbillon regulator, is also equipped with a minute repeater. A total of 24 perfectly legible complications are orchestrated by the new in-house 1,163-part 2756 calibre.
Les Cabinotiers Astronomical Striking Grand Complication – Ode To Music
This one displays a range of indications including civil, solar and sidereal time, as well as combining 19 complications within its minute repeater calibre; making this unique watch a masterpiece of aesthetics and technical horology. As partners of the Maison, Abbey Road Studios have recorded an original sound print delivered as a one-off certificate for each of the pieces in the range dedicated to “La Musique du Temps.”
Les Cabinotiers – The Singing Birds
A set of four, one-of-a-kind timepieces. Each has an off-centred display of the hours along the right-circumference of the dial. This leaves space for the master enamellers to express their art of champlevé enamel. The four pieces bear witness to their skill through the representation of a hummingbird, a blue jay, a blue tit and a robin; a theme dreamed up by the Maison’s Les Cabinotiers department.
Fiftysix (Sepia brown)
Unveiled in 2018, the Fiftysix collection audaciously mixes eras. Its part-retro, part-contemporary silhouette is inspired by an iconic 1956 watch. It reveals its playfulness through a new sepia brown-toned dial colour. This year, we have two models – Complete Calendar (B065) and Self-winding (B576) – both in a pink gold 40mm case with calfskin strap designed for everyday wear.
Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin
For the first time, Vacheron Constantin is offering the visually pleasing combination of pink gold and blue. The case, bracelet, hour-markers, and the hours-and-minutes hands are in 18K pink gold. The blue is on the dial with to finishes: the base has a translucent lacquered, sunburst satin-finish, while minute-track has a velvet-finished. In addition to the gold bracelet – featuring satin-brushed half Maltese cross-shaped links – it also comes with a blue Mississippiensis alligator leather strap and blue rubber strap.
Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin Skeleton
The prestige of an 18K pink gold case and bracelet is now complemented by the extreme sophistication of an open-worked movement that is also ultra-thin and houses a perpetual calendar. The skeletal dial under the sapphire crystal features 18K pink gold hour-markers and hour-and-minute hands. The gold bracelet, featuring satin-brushed half Maltese cross-shaped links, comes with two additional straps: a blue Mississippiensis alligator leather and blue rubber.
Traditionnelle Tourbillon Chronograph
Vacheron Constantin unites two horological complications within the Traditionnelle collection. Considered an emblem of Haute Horlogerie, the tourbillon is combined with a monopusher chronograph function. The tourbillon – featuring the Maltese cross – takes pride of place on the silvered opaline at 12 o’clock. The hour-markers, as well as the 42.5 mm case, are in 18K pink gold. The strap is dark brown Mississippiensis alligator leather with large square scales and saddle-finish.
