The auction house will present a curated selection of Porsche cars, memorabilia, and parts drawn from the personal collection of the influential “Urban Outlaw.”

A Personal Collection Heads to Market

RM Sotheby’s has announced The Magnus Walker Collection, a collaboration with the famed Porsche builder, collector, and tastemaker often referred to as the “Urban Outlaw.” The offering brings to market a carefully curated selection of Porsche cars, accompanied by an extensive array of memorabilia and parts accumulated over decades of collecting.

Drawn entirely from Walker’s personal archive, the collection offers an intimate look at one of the most recognisable figures in modern Porsche culture, whose approach to collecting has long been shaped by emotion, experience, and the simple joy of driving.

A Collector Defined by Experience

Widely regarded as one of the most influential Porsche enthusiasts of his generation, Walker’s journey spans far beyond traditional collecting. A serial entrepreneur, fashion designer, property developer, and speaker, he has built a global following through his unconventional builds and deeply personal relationship with the marque.

Over the years, Walker has explored Porsche’s front-, mid-, and rear-engined models, across both air- and water-cooled eras. His philosophy has consistently favoured driver-focused cars, with an emphasis on sensory engagement and individuality rather than concours perfection.

Cars, Memorabilia, and the Stories Between

At the centre of the Magnus Walker Collection is a selection of Porsche cars that reflect this philosophy, presented alongside period memorabilia and parts that chart Walker’s evolution as a builder and collector. Together, the objects form a portrait of a collection shaped not by speculation, but by lived experience.

Walker himself describes his first Porsche purchase in 1992 as a defining moment—one that represented freedom, speed, and the realisation of a long-held ambition. Decades later, the decision to part with a portion of his collection marks a moment of reflection and transition.

Letting Go to Move Forward

After years of acquiring, building, and driving these machines, Walker has chosen to release a thoughtfully selected group of cars and artefacts. The decision allows the pieces to continue their stories with new custodians, while signalling a new chapter for a collector whose identity has long been intertwined with the cars he builds and drives.

“I bought my first Porsche in 1992, when I was 25 years old. It meant everything. It meant freedom. It meant speed. It meant a dream come true. It was the beginning of the next chapter of my love affair with Porsche. It represented a dream fulfilled, and it also represented a personal sense of accomplishment, having a dream that I worked toward and ultimately achieved,” said Magnus Walker. “I reached a point where this out-of-control hobby had come to define who I am in a way, and it feels like shedding my skin, a kind of rebirth. It has taken me some time to get to this point where I am ready to let some of these cars go.”

For RM Sotheby’s, the offering aligns with the auction house’s reputation for presenting collections defined by provenance, personality, and cultural relevance—particularly those that resonate deeply within enthusiast circles.

RM Sotheby’s and the Global Collector Market

As the world’s largest collector car auction house by total sales, RM Sotheby’s brings more than four decades of expertise to the presentation of the Magnus Walker Collection. The house has overseen some of the most significant private collections ever offered, and remains responsible for six of the ten most valuable motor cars sold at auction.

Details surrounding the timing and format of the Magnus Walker Collection are expected to be announced in due course.
