Munich will once again become the stage for one of Europe’s most anticipated automotive events as RM Sotheby’sreturns to Motorworld for its fourth consecutive auction on 18 October 2025. The historic venue, a cathedral for car enthusiasts, will welcome an extraordinary collection that bridges five decades of motoring excellence—from the golden age of BMW M performance to the modern majesty of Ferrari, Mercedes, and Bugatti.
At the heart of the sale is The Best of M Collection, a breathtaking ensemble of 22 BMW M cars, each a chapter in the brand’s storied performance legacy. From the raw mechanical charm of a 1975 BMW 2002 Turbo to the contemporary finesse of a 2023 BMW M4 Edition 50 Jahre BMW M, every vehicle in this collection tells a story of innovation, precision, and passion. The collection, offered entirely at no reserve, captures the essence of Munich’s motoring soul—engineering mastery wrapped in pure emotion.

Among the headliners, a 1996 Ferrari F50 in Rosso Corsa commands attention, estimated between €4,000,000 and €4,500,000. Delivered new to Italy and still bearing its original Ferrari factory stickers, the F50 represents an era when design and performance converged to create rolling art. Alongside it, a 1965 Ferrari 275 GTB, a 2011 Ferrari SA Aperta, and a 2023 Ferrari 812 Competizione offer collectors a glimpse of Maranello’s evolution—from heritage to hypermodern elegance.
Not to be overshadowed, Mercedes-Benz presents two modern marvels as a single lot—a 2024 Mercedes-AMG ONEand a 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series Project One Edition. Finished in Hyper Black with Petronas Green detailing, these cars embody the seamless transfer of Formula 1 technology to the road. For collectors, this pairing isn’t merely about horsepower—it’s a statement of design, exclusivity, and engineering audacity.

The lineup also features the exquisite 2008 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Pur Sang, one of only five examples ever built, with exposed carbon and polished aluminium that make it a study in mechanical sculpture. Vintage connoisseurs will be drawn to the 1957 BMW 507 Roadster Series II, its Anthracite body and red leather interior recalling an era when automotive design was a form of craftsmanship, not competition. Together, these cars weave a narrative of motoring’s evolution—from handcrafted precision to futuristic performance.
Adding a touch of racing drama is the 2022 BMW M4 GT3, offered directly from BMW M Motorsport and driven by Valentino Rossi across 27 races, including Le Mans and Bathurst. Preserved with a lacquered finish by BMW Art Car legend Walter Maurer, the car stands as a bridge between motorsport heritage and artistic expression—proof that speed, too, can be a form of art.

Completing the ensemble is a 1958 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster, its matching-numbers provenance and storied ownership underscoring why it remains one of the most beloved classics ever made. As the gavel prepares to fall at RM Sotheby’s Munich, collectors from around the world will converge not only to bid but to celebrate the enduring beauty of automotive creation. Each car on the block is more than metal and motion—it’s history in motion, destined to find a new custodian for its next thrilling chapter.
