Bentley Prague has unveiled its first Mulliner Collection, a poignant celebration of craftsmanship, heritage, and heroism. The Czech Squadron Collection honours the valour of Czech airmen who served in four RAF squadrons—310, 311, 312, and 313—during World War II, with each of the four bespoke Bentleys reflecting the spirit and history of these brave pilots. With official approval from the British Ministry of Defence to use the insignia and mottos of the original squadrons, this collection is a moving union of British engineering excellence and Czech pride.
Each of the four one-of-one Bentleys—Bentayga, Flying Spur, Continental GT, and Continental GT Convertible—has been crafted by Mulliner’s master artisans, incorporating design elements inspired by the aircraft flown by Czech pilots. From laser-etched headrest insignias to bespoke treadplates depicting squadron aircraft silhouettes, the details narrate a story of courage in the skies and craftsmanship on the ground. The Bentley Rotating Displays in red, black, and yellow hues mirror the tones of wartime squadron livery, evoking an emotional connection between past and present.

The Continental GT Convertible, representing Squadron 310, embodies elegance and legacy with its steely blue Thunder exterior—an homage to the Spitfire’s sky camouflage. The herringbone charcoal tweed interiors, bronze-toned leather, and intricate insignia etchings create a sense of nostalgia balanced with modern refinement. The treadplate inscription “We fight to rebuild” immortalises the spirit of resilience that defined the squadron’s story.
For the Bentayga, the inspiration draws from Squadron 311, the RAF’s only Czech-manned bomber squadron. Finished in Cypress Green with Blackline details, the SUV reflects the squadron’s aviation colours. Inside, deep Autumn and Cumbrian Green leather complement brushed aluminium accents, creating a powerful yet tranquil atmosphere. Its treadplates feature profiles of the Wellington and B-24 Liberator aircraft, engraved with the squadron’s proud motto: “Never regard their numbers.”

The Continental GT, dedicated to Squadron 312, channels the stealth and precision of its Spitfire heritage. Its solid Barnato green exterior and anthracite interior accented with Fern Green infusions convey a commanding presence. The motto “Not many, but much” resonates within its handcrafted cabin, a quiet salute to those who fought with determination beyond measure.
The Flying Spur, representing Squadron 313, epitomises contemporary luxury with a touch of historical reverence. Finished in a duo-tone of Cypress over Anthracite, the grand tourer’s cabin features Gondola Green and Gravity Grey hides, open-pore walnut veneers, and the motto “One hawk chases many crows.” The effect is a harmonious dialogue between wartime bravery and modern opulence.

The Czech Squadron Collection’s launch coincides with the opening of Bentley Prague’s new showroom, symbolising a union between past heroism and present innovation. Pyms Lane in Crewe, where these cars are born, once produced the legendary Merlin V12 engine that powered RAF aircraft during the war. This collection, therefore, is not merely a tribute—it is a full circle of history, honour, and craftsmanship.
