(Deddington, UK – October 23, 2024) – British luxury car customizer, Theon Design, has revealed their most extreme Porsche 911 yet: the Theon R. Combining lightweight materials, custom engineering, and a raw, analog experience, the R is Theon’s ultimate tribute to Porsche’s air-cooled legacy. Meticulously crafted from the 964 Carrera, the R elevates the classic Porsche driving experience to new levels, making it a coveted choice for purist enthusiasts.

Theon Design is known for its bespoke Porsche 911 (964) rebuilds, and with the R, the brand takes inspiration from Porsche icons like the 911 S/T and 964 RS. Designed for those who crave pure driving, the R pairs unmatched performance with a lightweight, track-ready build, pushing the limits of what an air-cooled Porsche can be.

Powering the Theon R is a 4.0-liter flat-six engine generating an impressive 500bhp and 400Nm of torque, complemented by a six-speed manual transmission. With a 0-60 mph time of just three seconds, the R delivers an exhilarating driving experience that enthusiasts crave. Equipped with throttle-by-wire technology and inspired by the 997 GT3 RS, the R’s engine provides a thrilling, raw power that’s rare in today’s market, especially in an air-cooled model.

The Theon R is more than just power; it offers remarkable handling through an advanced Motion Control Suspension (MCS) 3W damper system that’s triple adjustable for full customization. With settings for high-speed compression, low-speed compression, and rebound damping, this setup allows for a seamless transition between road and track driving. Paired with lightweight carbon ceramic brakes and Minilite-inspired magnesium wheels, the R’s suspension system delivers a responsive and precise driving experience.

Incorporating both style and function, the Theon R features carbon fiber elements like a front splitter, rear diffuser, and Porsche’s iconic ‘whale tail’ wing to ensure aerodynamic stability. The car’s Signal Orange finish with ‘ghost’ stripes adds a bold, modern flair, making it both eye-catching and aerodynamic. This balance between tradition and innovation is seen in every inch of the R’s exterior design.

Inside, the Theon R combines a stripped-down approach with luxury finishes. Carbon fiber and leather elements enhance its sporty feel, while single-piece seats provide stability without sacrificing comfort. Theon focuses on what matters most to drivers, creating a minimalist interior that keeps distractions to a minimum yet exudes a refined touch.

Adam Hawley, co-founder of Theon Design, describes the R as a car that “honors Porsche’s low-production legends with unmatched attention to detail.” Limited to just 24 units and priced at £790,000, each R is a unique collaboration between Theon and its customers. Every build takes around 18 months to complete, resulting in a Porsche that’s meticulously tailored to its owner.

For those seeking the ultimate analog experience, the Theon R represents the pinnacle of air-cooled performance, blending Porsche heritage with innovative engineering.
